Hi, I'm abbie.I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania. I completed my undergraduate studies at Ursinus College before earning my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Gwynedd Mercy University.
About Me
Life is full of ups and downs, unexpected challenges, and experiences that shape who we are. My goal as a therapist is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can navigate life's challenges, better understand yourself, and work toward becoming the person you want to be.
I understand that opening up to someone new isn't always easy. Having experienced therapy myself, I recognize the vulnerability that comes with sharing your story. I strive to meet you wherever you are in life, offering a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and genuinely supported.
I bring an approachable, bubbly, and nurturing personality into my work, while also recognizing that growth sometimes requires being challenged. I won't simply tell you what you want to hear. Instead, I'll work alongside you to explore different perspectives, challenge unhelpful patterns, and find meaningful ways to move forward at your own pace.
Outside of my work as a therapist, sports have always been a big part of who I am. From childhood through college, I was actively involved in athletics, eventually playing field hockey at the collegiate level. My experiences both on and off the field have shaped not only who I am today, but also my passion for helping athletes navigate the unique pressures of competitive sports. I especially enjoy working with teens and young adults experiencing performance anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, self-doubt, and the pressure to succeed. I also understand how important it is to develop a sense of identity and self-worth beyond athletics.
Whether you're an athlete struggling with the pressures of competition or someone simply trying to navigate life's challenges, I'm here to help you find your voice, build confidence, and move forward in a way that feels true to who you are and what matters most to you.
